Sencit Garden:
A Growing Space for Connection and Care

Nestled in the heart of the Sencit Resthaven Home of the Aged, the Sencit Garden is more than just a place to grow vegetables—it's a space to restore dignity, spark joy, and reconnect with the earth.

This garden project is part of uKwandaGro’s commitment to bringing healing and purpose through therapeutic horticulture. Here, older residents can get their hands in the soil, find a sense of peace, and even share stories while tending to life-giving plants. It’s also a place where younger volunteers and garden partners can connect across generations, building bonds and growing together—quite literally.

But like any growing dream, we need a little help to bring it to life.

Sew-to-Grow:
Stitching Hope, One Thread at a Time

Born from a desire to uplift and equip, Sew-to-Grow is more than a sewing project— it’s a space where creativity meets cultivation. Here, women come together to learn, heal, and craft beautiful, practical items that support gardening and sustainable living. From handcrafted aprons that protect hardworking bodies to sturdy grow bags, reusable tote bags, and fabric planters, every stitch sewn carries the promise of growth—both in the garden and in the lives of the women who make them.

At uKwandaGro, we believe in hand-ups, not handouts. Sew-to-Grow builds skills, sparks small business opportunities, and helps women grow their income, their gardens, and their sense of worth.

Join the movement – quick form, big impact!
